Frequently Asked Questions

What if I’m a vegetarian?

You can be a vegetarian during pregnancy and provide proper nutrition for yourself and your baby. I don’t have a “one-size fits all” or dogmatic approach to nutrition. Everyone is different, and individuals thrive on different diets. While I do recommend quality animal foods for most people, this class is for anyone interested in good nutrition. The dietary principles in the course include valuable information for vegetarians and omnivores alike.

I am gluten-free. Will the material apply to me?

Many of my clients are gluten-free and all of the information in this course is either gluten-free or can very easily be adapted to be gluten-free. For people new to this concept, I discuss gluten, the challenges with it for pregnancy, and ways to reduce or eliminate gluten in your diet.

I had a baby one year ago. Would this class still be helpful?

This class provides great information on nourishing and replenishing your body after pregnancy. It is never too late–in fact it’s always a good time–to begin boosting nutrient status. Even one year after the birth of a baby many women are often still tired and depleted. This is a great time to begin working on your own health. You will also be supporting your body for additional pregnancies in the future. But even if you don’t plan on more babies, this is a great course for nourishing yourself and your family now.

What if I have questions? How does this work with your home study course?

Because nutrition is a dynamic topic, questions are bound to come up. I hold live Q&A calls where you can get your questions answered. This way you can study at your own pace and get your questions answered by a live person–the best of both worlds.

I’m a practitioner? Is this course for me?

Many birth professionals take my course for their own personal learning and/or to support their clients. This course contains nutrition information including science-based research and other specifics of interest to professionals.
